Nova comes from our Vegas and a wonder stud dog name ET. Again, a biddable, easy to train and handle Gordon with a strong hunt dead (and kill’m) attitude, but not so big on picking them up and bringing them back.
For Connie, Nova has been her top performing dog on the bench. Having not garnered hardly a look in the ring before her fourth birthday. Then in short order she achieved several major wins attaining her Championship by the time she was five. Later Connie and Nova highlight was a win at the North Country Gordon Setter Club summer specialty where to took Best of Breed from the Veteran Bitch Class in 2016. Nova retired her bench career as Grand Champion Bronze.
Nova continued to hunt for Chris for many years and was truly an easy going dog that was always fun to be around and did an honest work day in and day out. We declined to put a litter on Nova due to one hip which was evaluated as mildly dysplastic. She never exhibited a day of lameness in her entire life. Nova passed quietly at home on New Year’s Eve at the age of 13.
